The National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) cell in a college has the following aims and objectives:

To inculcate a sense of social responsibility among college students.
To provide opportunities for college students to participate in community service activities and contribute to society.
To promote national integration, communal harmony, and a sense of unity among students.
To develop leadership qualities and organizational skills among students.
To enhance the skills and knowledge of students through community engagement and practical experience.
To create awareness among students about social issues, such as environmental protection, health, and hygiene, and to motivate them to work towards finding solutions.
To develop a sense of selfless service and empathy towards marginalized and underprivileged sections of society.
To promote the spirit of volunteerism among college students.
To provide opportunities for students to work with government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in various social and developmental programs.
To encourage students to participate in national-level and state-level camps and training programs organized by the NSS cell.
